I have witnessed so much with people’s bodies in my time (particularly my own) whilst teaching yoga and facilitating body classes for many years, that has simply proved to me without a shadow of a doubt, that the real shift happens when you totally realise that you already have everything you need to create your ideal body – whether than means aesthetically or health wise – it’s your choice. It’s just a matter of being consciously aware of it and applying it in whatever you do and then you will experience for yourself a whole new ball game with what you think is possible with your body.
It is this information that gave me such a shift in my experience with Bikram Yoga, which is perceived around the world to be one of the most “intense” types of yoga class mainly due to the heated room. As a teacher, I have to share this information as I cringe every time I see someone pushing and forcing themselves into postures, grimacing in pain, as that will never have a long term good effect – in fact quite the opposite. I can honestly say I have the most blissful experience with Bikram Yoga as I apply what I now know to be true.
The information in this book is also introduced in Barefoot Bodeez yoga classes which are Vinyasa based and do not require heat, and a great alternative if Bikram Yoga is not your favourite. I love both, as both can have great results, as it is always what you are applying from the inside that makes the classes more effective and enjoyable!
